Art Can
Denton Burrows New York
A Well Oiled Desire Machine
The piece is a surreal representation of when you really want another PBR but the bar is so crowded that you wish you had a fresh one at all times brewed just for you by two identical endlessly efficient brewers floating above and connected to you. Mhmmm wouldn’t that be nice!
2D
San Francisco
I’ve got to assume this is because I’m the only one who submitted my work on time.
3D
Eugene, Or
Pabstalo
The beautiful skull that is supporting my Pabst Blue Ribbon art piece is that of a female Buffalo. I have always enjoyed working with skulls and I truly love to find a way to re-appreciate the life that it once belonged to. Buffalo may appear to be just like any other herd animal, but they possess great mobility, strength, speed and agility. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer may seem like any other American premium lager, but like the Buffalo it possesses characteristics greater than what first meets the eye. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is crisp, refreshing, and light, but going beyond the first taste it is exciting, light-hearted, relaxing, compassionate to any moment in life and truly timeless. I decided to pair my passion for skull art with my love for PBR. Each can that was used for the project was previously drank and enjoyed by many wonderful friends. No beer was wasted! I hand selected parts of the can to create a design that would suit the skull itself, and in doing so I created a new hybrid herd animal, the original “Pabstalo.”
