The PBR Invasion of Ohio has commenced with a 16′ x 27′ oil-based enamel mural on the south wall of Village Idiot, hand painted by Columbus-based artists Andrew Kern and Nick Stull, commissioned by pabstohio.
On a late spring night, after “a few” PBR tallboys, Nick finally revealed what he’d been quietly musing about the last hour or so; a vision: PBR invading the shores of the Olentangy (O-len-TAN-jee) River, from the air, the sky, the land, the (maybe) outerspace. Months of sketches, design work and planning by Andrew and him followed, and by late July PBR INVASION OHIO ONE had emerged. The vision reached it’s destination when PBR fans, artists, and musicians came out in a big way for the official unveiling in late August on the Pabst Patio at Village Idiot, just about a mile up from the river. Future plans are in place for a series of #pbrinvasionohio murals throughout the state, incorporating different styles and area-specific themes.
